What are you passionate about and how do you pursue that passion at PMA?
I am passionate about pursuing fairness, efficiency, and clarity in resolving claims and disputes.
What current project(s) are you working on?
Currently I am working on the close-out phase of the East Side Access project and also on the Penn Station Access project.
Who inspires you to push yourself?
I am inspired by selfless people who do the right thing for its own sake, without placing conditions on there being an expectation of a quid pro quo in return.
What are the most positive aspects of working at PMA? Or Share your impressions of PMA’s culture.
PMA is filled with great team members and there is nothing better than being on a great team.
What is something innovative happening in your industry that makes you excited about the future?
I’m not sure if this is innovative, but I observe that claims resolution very often hinges on who can tell a more compelling story, and in my experience, confusion more often than not helps the claimant. Keeping things simple, when possible, is usually the best approach.
What university or college did you graduate from?
I earned my bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from UMass Amherst in 1991.
What is your favorite local establishment/feature?
I enjoy going to Denly’s Gardens in Weymouth, MA. It was established in 1933 and is a 4th generation hole-in-the-wall pizza place with wafer thin pies.
Provide a fun fact or secret talent about yourself?
I can move/wiggle my ears. Makes finding well-fitting glasses and earbuds more of a challenge!
