PMA’s First Project with SFPUC
On February 2, 2009, PMA’s first project with San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) began.
PMA was awarded a prime contract for seven construction projects within the San Joaquin Region valued at more than $200 million. Projects included an $87 million design-build Tesla UV Water Treatment Facility; a $50 million 11-mile long 78”-diameter West Segment pipeline; a $48 million 6.5-mile long 78” diameter East Segment pipeline; a smaller $3 million UV treatment facility for Lawrence Livermore labs; several large crossover facilities totaling almost $22 million; and pipeline rehabilitation. Much of the work was time sensitive and involved major shutdowns of the existing water supply system. This work is part of the $4.8 billion Water System Improvement Program (WSIP) rehabilitation of the Hetch Hetchy water supply system.
Services PMA provided to the San Joaquin Region Transmission project include constructability review, project controls, claims consulting, schedule analysis, green building oversight, cost management, contract administration, and change order management.
