Denver International Airport Great Hall
Overview
The Great Hall program is one of City and County of Denver Department of Aviation’s Denver International Airport (DEN) capital improvement programs that helps the airport prepare for the future by enhancing security, improving operational efficiency, and increasing capacity of the Jeppesen Terminal. DEN, which was recently ranked among the top airports in the nation, is redeveloping the majority of the 1,500,000-SF Great Hall, known as the Jeppesen Terminal or the main terminal. This effort requires, at a minimum, a LEED Gold level, requirements that are being addressed in the design and incorporated during construction.
PMA Role
As part of the program management team, PMA provides PMSS owner’s representative services on this project, as well as managing the Central Monitoring Facility relocation. For Phase 2, PMA will continue to provide owner’s representative services for the new TSA security screening checkpoint, as well as design and construction project management services for the airline relocations that are required to enable construction of the new security checkpoint. This includes coordinating with airline tenants regarding office space programming and ticketing operational requirements, coordinating with the design consultants, contractor bid selection, and oversight of construction activities.
