Overview
Santa Clara Water District (District) manages an integrated water resources system that includes the supply of clean safe water, flood protection, and stewardship of streams on behalf of Santa Clara County’s 1.8 million residents and businesses. The district effectively manages 10 dams and surface water reservoirs, 3 water treatment plants, nearly 400 acres of groundwater recharge ponds, and more than 275 miles of streams.
PMA Role
The District hired PMA to execute a performance audit and subsequently provide recommendations for continuous improvement. The objective of the audit was to determine if the work performed by the consultant or under its direction, and by client staff, was sufficient to meet the purposes specified in the agreement, and that the services were rendered in accordance with the services identified in the contract.
