Overview
PMA began providing project controls services to We Energies in 2008 while supporting the owner on a large construction claim. PMA has remained engaged with We Energies and WEC Energy Group since that time providing project controls on active projects. Our staff have worked on more than 15 individual projects that total more than $4 billion in construction.
PMA Role
PMA staff are currently working on cost controls for eight different projects, ranging from plant decommissioning to the development and construction of new generation facilities. Work scope includes detailed cost accounting, cost forecasting, cost reporting, earned value data collection and reporting, schedule control, and progress reporting. PMA also prepares and updates a monthly cost forecast for each project within their systems, applications, and products. The forecast involves all aspects of project costs, including design, construction, permitting, and start-up. To underscore a seamless integration, the PMA team has assimilated into the owner’s project team. PMA staff augmentation effort and trusted advisor relationship have been so successful that contractors and consultants working for WEC Energy Group frequently do not distinguish PMA staff as consultants.
