Overview
John Knox Village is a nearly 50-year-old, life-care life-plan community with close proximity to the ocean. The campus is located on a 70-acre property that includes 2 lakes, green space, plants and trees, wildlife, and walking and biking trails. The campus consists of 722 independent-living units; a 64-bed assisted-living component; a new skilled nursing center (the Woodlands) with 144 licensed beds; and a nursing center with 50 licensed beds. The initial phases of this master plan contemplate a new 7,000-SF welcome center; a 60,000-SF clubhouse with dining venues; an auditorium; meeting space and a pool; and 52 new independent-living units.
PMA Role
PMA provided owner’s representative services during this campus renovation. Scope includes assisting with planning, scheduling, and implementing the master plan; selecting and negotiating contracts with architects and contractors; and providing oversight assistance of the program management office for the ongoing design and construction efforts.
