Overview
The $42 million Billerica Department of Public Works (DPW) Facility project involves the construction of a new 74,000-SF DPW building. Elements of the DPW facility include shops, a salt shed, and proper storage areas for equipment, vehicles, and materials. The salt shed is located on a separate site in order to service the entire community. The project aims to provide a new modern, safe, and effective facility that serves the department and Billerica community for years to come.
PMA Role
PMA is providing comprehensive owner’s project management services during all phases of the project. Responsibilities include monitoring the budget and schedule, procuring subconsultants for testing and commissioning, and coordinating the bidding and design processes. The team also works closely with abutters and facilitates outreach with neighbors as the project site is located at a dead-end in a residential area.
